I chose this piece because it is one of my best assignments this year, so far. I did some research on the cities mentioned in my story and some of the characters mentioned also.
Hey, i'm Saba. Sports.. I enjoy all sports, Basketball definitely being the most enjoyable. The cause of this is mainly the fact that I have a lot of school friends in my community basketball team, and for me, basketball allows you to figure out a little more about a person off court after you play with them on court. I have always been a musical person, with a diverse musical background. I have played piano, and trumpet, and am on my sixth year of playing the guitar. The best part about being able to play guitar in my opinion would be when you are listening to a song and really like it, all you have to do is Google the song and find the notes to it, then play along to the song with your guitar, which to me, is an awesome feeling. I am a single child, this allows me to have a lot of free time to do activities I really enjoy such as reading, drawing, playing on the computer, and watching movies. This is basically "Saba" summed up into a few words.
Future Goals
I honestly want to be someone that will be remembered long after my time is up, as a good person. To be a positive influence to all of the world. I want to be a productive member of society. To also bring happiness into the lives of people I do and do not know, but mostly to have balance in my life.
Belives on Education
As a Bahai, I belive in nobility of man. We regard "Man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal it's treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom." By believing in this idea, we place a very important value on the concept of education. By educating the people we can change the course of human history, we can change darkness into light, ignorance into enlightenment, and war and strife into peace. All of the problems of the world are due to lack of education. We can promote justice, harmony between nations, and peace in the world, by the mere action of educating masses.
